Senior Backend Developer

Location: Mumbai (India)

We are looking for Senior Backend Developers to focus heavily on product feature development, system scalability, and new surface areas like our Chrome Extension and AI Interview pipelines. You will be the heavy lifters of our engineering pod, ensuring our core application remains stable and fast as we inject complex AI capabilities into it.

The Reality (Our Tech Stack)
You will be building and optimizing within a highly distributed system.

We are straddling AWS and GCP.

Our data is distributed across PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Vector DBs.

We use RabbitMQ / Kafka/ Sidekiq for asynchronous messaging.

Our core is built on Ruby on Rails.

Technical Ownership (Your Impact)
As a Senior Backend Developer, you own the performance and delivery of our core product.

Feature Development: You will architect and build the robust backend APIs for new AI-powered product workflows, specifically focusing on data pipelines for our AI Interview assessment features.

Chrome Extension Backend: You will build the dedicated APIs and background processes that support our Chrome Extension, handling secure cross-origin requests and high-volume data ingestion from public web profiles.

Scalability & Performance: You will proactively identify and resolve database bottlenecks, optimize slow queries in Postgres/Mongo, and manage heavy asynchronous AI inference workloads so they do not block main application threads.

We are a product company: Having good experience at Product Companies / B2B SaaS is preferred.

You have 4 to 5 years of deep backend experience. You have strong expertise in Ruby on Rails, understand how to scale it, and are highly comfortable, how to navigate it

You know how to optimize PostgreSQL/MongoDB and have practical experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ/Kafka) and distributed worker queues.
