Role Summary

Zapi India is looking for a customer-facing System Applications Engineer to support the deployment, integration, and commissioning of AMR/AGV navigation and electrification systems.

This role is ideal for engineers with hands-on field deployment experience who enjoy working directly with customers, OEMs, and automation partners to solve real-world system integration challenges. The position focuses on application engineering and system deployment, not core product development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Act as a customer-facing System / Field Engineer supporting AMR/AGV deployments at client sites
2. Lead on-site system integration, configuration, and commissioning of already-built AMR/AGV solutions
3. Perform mapping, routing, navigation setup, and system calibration at customer locations
4. Support end-to-end deployment execution, from pre-installation planning to go-live
5. Understand customer use cases and perform application sizing, calculations, and system configuration recommendations
6. Collaborate with global engineering, product, and support teams for issue resolution
7. Provide technical training and enablement to customers, integrators, and OEM partners
8. Troubleshoot integration issues related to navigation, electrification, and system performance
9. Support documentation, test reports, and deployment feedback for continuous improvement

Mandatory / Must-Have Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

1. Hands-on experience in AMR / AGV system deployment (not product R&D)
2. Proven experience as a customer-facing System Engineer / Field Engineer / Application Engineer
3. Experience with on-site integration, configuration, and commissioning at customer locations
4. Strong understanding of mapping, routing, navigation, and system commissioning
5. Strong application engineering mindset with the ability to:
6. Understand customer workflows and constraints
7. Perform sizing and configuration calculations
8. Recommend the right system architecture and setup
9. Comfortable owning end-to-end deployment responsibility and working independently with customers

Preferred Background

1. 4–6 years of experience in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrification, AMR/AGV systems
2. Exposure to autonomous navigation systems, industrial automation, or material handling solutions
3. Experience working with OEMs, automation companies, or robotics integrators
4. Willingness to travel to customer sites as required
