About the Role


We are looking for a hands-on Robotics & Automation Engineer to join our engineering team working on high-speed industrial automation systems involving robotics, machine vision, motion control, embedded systems, and real-time software.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building complete systems from concept to deployment — including debugging hardware on the shop floor, developing control logic, integrating sensors and actuators, and optimizing machine performance.


Key Responsibilities


Robotics & Motion Control


  1. Develop and debug robotic and automation systems using ROS 2, industrial controllers, and motion systems.
  2. Work with servo drives, EtherCAT devices, VFDs, encoders, and industrial I/O.
  3. Develop machine sequencing, interlocks, safety logic, and process control flows.
  4. Tune motion systems and optimize machine cycle times.
  5. Integrate multi-axis motion systems and conveyor synchronization.


Industrial Software Development


  1. Develop software in Python and/or C++ for automation systems.
  2. Build communication interfaces using:
  3. Modbus TCP
  4. EtherCAT
  5. CAN
  6. Serial Communication
  7. Ethernet/IP
  8. OPC-UA
  9. Work on real-time control logic and machine orchestration.


Vision & Sensor Integration


  1. Integrate industrial cameras, lighting systems, sensors, weighing systems, and inspection systems.
  2. Work with machine vision pipelines for:
  3. Detection
  4. Tracking
  5. Orientation
  6. Quality inspection
  7. Support integration of AI/vision-based systems into production machinery.


Problem Solving & Ownership


  1. Take ownership of modules and projects from design to production.
  2. Work closely with cross-functional teams including:
  3. Mechanical
  4. Embedded
  5. Software
  6. Production
  7. Troubleshoot issues independently under real production conditions.
  8. Continuously improve machine reliability, throughput, and maintainability.


Required Skills


Technical Skills


  1. Strong understanding of industrial automation and robotics.
  2. Experience with at least one of the following:
  3. ROS / ROS 2
  4. Motion control systems
  5. Industrial communication protocols
  6. Experience with Python and/or C++.
  7. Understanding of sensors, actuators, motors, encoders, and industrial control systems.
  8. Familiarity with Linux environments.
  9. Ability to debug hardware and software together.


Good to Have


  1. Experience with EtherCAT systems.
  2. Experience with industrial machine vision systems.
  3. Experience with embedded systems or MCU programming.
  4. Experience with robotic arms or multi-axis systems.
  5. Familiarity with FastAPI, backend systems, or UI integration.
  6. Experience with weighing systems, sorting systems, or high-speed industrial automation.


Candidate Profile

Experience


  1. 1–6 years of relevant experience.
  2. Strong freshers with exceptional projects may also be considered.

B.Tech / M.Tech in:


  1. Robotics
  2. Mechatronics
  3. Electronics
  4. Electrical
  5. Mechanical
  6. Embedded Systems
  7. Computer Science
  8. Automation Engineering
  9. Or related fields
