About the Role
We are seeking a senior investor relations professional to lead direct investor relationship management for an alternative investment platform focused on structured credit, high-yield debt, and real estate-linked investment opportunities.
The role will act as the primary custodian of high-value direct investor relationships across HNIs, UHNIs, family offices, corporate investors, and institutional investors. It requires strong communication discipline, deep relationship management ability, investment product understanding, and the commercial maturity to identify retention, reinvestment, and incremental capital opportunities.
The selected candidate will manage the full post-commitment investor lifecycle, ensure high-quality servicing, strengthen investor trust, and support long-term AUM growth through retention and reinvestment.

Key Responsibilities
A. Direct Investor Relationship Management
- Act as the primary relationship manager for HNI, UHNI, and family-office investors.
- Own the full post-commitment investor lifecycle, including onboarding, servicing, query resolution, documentation coordination, and long-term retention.
- Build deep, trust-based relationships with investor principals, family-office investment committees, advisors, and other key stakeholders.
- Act as the internal champion for investor needs, ensuring Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Investment teams deliver a consistently high-quality investor experience.
- Maintain comprehensive investor records, interaction history, relationship notes, preferences, and engagement intelligence for proactive and personalised communication.
B. Investor Communication & Reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of investor communications, including fund performance reports, NAV updates, capital call notices, distribution statements, portfolio updates, and regulatory disclosures.
- Develop and manage a structured investor communication calendar covering quarterly reports, annual meetings, market outlook notes, investor updates, and ad hoc communications.
- Prepare personalised investor material, including performance summaries, portfolio commentary, reinvestment proposals, and meeting notes in coordination with the investment team.
- Facilitate investor meetings, portfolio review discussions, annual meetings, bespoke briefings, and senior leadership interactions.
- Ensure all investor communication is clear, accurate, compliant, and aligned with the platform’s investment positioning.
C. Investor Servicing & Query Management
- Serve as the first point of contact for investor queries, documentation requirements, operational requests, and escalations.
- Coordinate with Operations, Finance, Compliance, and Investment teams for KYC updates, subscription processing, regulatory filings, capital calls, and distributions.
- Manage capital call coordination, distribution processing, investor statement reconciliation, and investor documentation follow-ups.
- Proactively identify and resolve investor concerns before escalation.
- Maintain a high-touch service standard for all high-value direct investors.
D. Investor Retention & Re-investment
- Design and execute investor retention strategies to deepen loyalty, extend relationship tenure, and improve reinvestment outcomes.
- Identify reinvestment, incremental capital, and referral opportunities within the existing investor base.
- Work with the direct sales or fundraising team to convert identified opportunities into AUM growth.
- Build and maintain a reinvestment pipeline tracking maturity dates, investor conversations, capital availability, expected reinvestment amount, and next steps.
- Use investor feedback and satisfaction data to improve engagement quality, communication cadence, and servicing standards.
E. Market Intelligence & Strategic Contribution
- Stay updated on alternative investment developments, regulatory changes, macroeconomic trends, real estate credit dynamics, and evolving HNI/UHNI/family-office preferences.
- Provide structured investor sentiment and market intelligence to investment, product, and leadership teams.
- Represent the platform at investor forums, family-office summits, private wealth events, and exclusive networking forums.
- Contribute to the broader investor relations strategy, retention framework, and investor engagement programme.
- Support leadership with insights on investor expectations, competitive positioning, and relationship risks.
Candidate Profile
Qualification
- Postgraduate degree in Finance, MBA, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- CFA, CFP, or relevant investment certifications is a plus (Not mandatory).
Experience
- 8–10 years of experience in investor relations, private banking, wealth management, alternative investment servicing, or direct investor relationship management.
- Proven track record of managing and retaining HNI, UHNI, and family-office investor relationships.
- Demonstrated experience with retention, reinvestment, investor servicing, and relationship expansion outcomes.
- Prior experience in a direct investor relations role within an AIF, PMS, private equity fund, real estate fund, private credit platform, or alternative investment firm preferred.
- Familiarity with alternative investment products, structured credit, capital call processes, distribution management, investor reporting, and AIF investor regulations in India.
- Established network or working exposure within the HNI, UHNI, and family-office investor ecosystem in Mumbai.
