SAP Team Lead

Position Title: SAP Team Lead ECC 6.0 & SAP S/4 HANA

Experience Required: 8 Years

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP Team Lead with strong expertise in SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP S/4 HANA to manage solution delivery, guide team members, coordinate with business stakeholders, and support end-to-end ERP operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on technical/functional capabilities along with strong leadership and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP Delivery & Implementation

Lead end-to-end implementation, upgrade, and support activities across SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP S/4 HANA landscapes.

Drive requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.

Ensure timely delivery of SAP change requests, enhancements, and projects.?

2. Technical/Functional Expertise

Depending on module specialization (e.g., FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, HCM, ABAP, Basis), responsibilities may include:

System configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

Designing and validating business process solutions.

Integration experience with cross-functional SAP modules.

Experience with SAP Fiori apps, HANA DB, CDS views, and HANA migration tools is an added advantage.

3. Team Leadership

Manage and mentor a team of SAP consultants (functional/technical).

Conduct task allocation, performance reviews, and skill development planning.

Provide technical guidance and ensure adherence to best practices.

4. Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

Collaborate closely with business users, IT teams, and external partners.

Manage stakeholder expectations and provide clear, proactive communication.

Coordinate with vendors for technical support, upgrades, and incident resolution.

5. Support & Maintenance

Oversee L2/L3 support activities, root cause analysis, and incident management.

Ensure system stability, data integrity, and compliance with organizational standards.

Participate in periodic system audits, patch updates, and release cycles.

6. Documentation & Compliance

Prepare functional/technical documents, test scripts, training materials, and user manuals.

Ensure adherence to SLAs, project governance, and QA processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

Strong functional or technical expertise in SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4 HANA.

Good working knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA, HANA architecture, and migration methodologies.

Familiarity with integration tools (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, PI/PO).

Hands-on experience with system enhancements, custom developments, and performance optimization.

Working knowledge of SAP Solution Manager, transport management, and system landscape concepts.

Education

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.

SAP module certifications (ECC or S/4 HANA) preferred.

Experience in S/4 HANA conversion or greenfield implementation.

Knowledge of Agile methodology and project management practices.

Exposure to cloud hosting environments (AWS/Azure) for SAP systems.
