Role Overview


The Government Tender Lead will drive the company's public sector business across North India,owning:


  1. Tender identification
  2. Pre-bid engagement
  3. Relationship building with key government stakeholders
  4. PQ documentation strategy
  5. Bid management
  6. Commercial closure
  7. Account growth post-award


You will represent the company in government departments, municipal corporations, water boards, and related agencies.



Key Responsibilities


1. Government Relationship Building

  1. Leverage existing core government connections
  2. Develop strong working relationships across departments
  3. Engage consistently in field presence and in-person meetings
  4. Build trust in high-value, long-cycle government transactions


2. Tender & Bid Strategy

  1. Identify relevant tenders and upcoming opportunities
  2. Strategize pre-qualification (PQ) documentation
  3. Work closely with technical and operations teams for bid submissions
  4. Bring creativity and clarity in language positioning


3. Solution Selling

  1. Understand and articulate technical IoT-enabled water solutions
  2. Translate technical offerings into policy and compliance value
  3. Engage in consultative solution selling rather than transactional bidding


4. Revenue Ownership

  1. Own revenue targets for the North government segment
  2. Manage long sales cycles with structured follow-ups
  3. Convert awarded projects into long-term recurring accounts



Required Qualifications & Skills


Must Haves:

  1. 10–15+ years of experience in government/infrastructure/public sector sales
  2. Strong, demonstrable network within North India government bodies
  3. Proven experience in handling tenders and PQ processes
  4. High integrity and financial trustworthiness
  5. Willingness to be hands-on in first 6 months
  6. High travel readiness (extensive field presence required)
  7. Strong grasp of technical solution selling
  8. Ability to handle complex stakeholder ecosystems


Preferred:

  1. Experience in water, wastewater, infra-tech, or IoT
  2. Age range: 35–45 preferred (given stakeholder alignment maturity)
