Total Experience


Minimum 12 years post basic qualification in IT field


Experience in relevant architecture field


Minimum 5 years preferably in Banking / Financial Sector


Specific Skills Required


  1. Skills in identifying enterprise requirements and derive system specifications, breaking down them into manageable parts.
  2. Skills on more than one development technology stack required preferably C++, Java, .NET, PHP or other open-source technologies.
  3. Expertise in Java technologies or .NET technologies and middleware technologies.
  4. Knowledge of cross platform Mobile application development IBM MEA / Kony etc.
  5. Skills on various operating systems like AIX, LINUX, and Windows.
  6. Hands on experience in development of applications including web services, web APIs, message queue, service oriented and micro services architecture.
  7. Skills on Private Cloud setup (VMware) and public cloud (such as Azure/AWS etc.)
  8. Should have understanding of Infrastructure and involved in hosting of enterprise applications.
  9. Must have capability of Architecting scalable SaaS based platforms.
  10. In-depth knowledge of enterprise systems, modules, and software integration.
  11. Expertise in migration of legacy applications from on premise to cloud/hybrid environments.
  12. Should have experience in any NOSQL database and RDBMS preferably on Oracle database and/or PostgresSQL.
  13. Knowledge of new and upcoming front-end technologies.
  14. Successful introduction of new technology, made design decisions for a product and lived with the consequences of the decisions.
  15. Strong proponent of engineering best practices for Unit Testing, Coverage, Code Quality, Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment.
  16. Ability to handle conflict and build consensus around different approaches among stakeholders.
  17. Ability to measure performance of the newly upgraded / installed systems.
  18. Superior oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate complex ideas clearly to a variety of audiences.
  19. Preferably the candidate should have working / hands-on experience with Enterprise Architecture (EA) tools like Mega Hopex, Avolution ABACUS, Planview, Orbus iServer, etc.


Job Profile


  1. Set up technical standards and governance structure for the enterprise.
  2. To provide technology architecture expertise and guidance across multiple business divisions & technology domains.
  3. Assist business strategy and accordingly drive technology strategy from an architecture perspective.
  4. Setting up technical standards, formulation of Enterprise Architecture (EA) Governance Framework.
  5. Driving technology strategy from an architecture perspective, across a portfolio of applications in the Bank, for resource optimization and Risk mitigation.
  6. Translating business requirements into specific system, application or process designs, including working with business personnel and executives to identify functional requirements.
  7. Define/ maintain Target Architectures in Roadmaps.
  8. Lead and/or assist efforts to scope and architect major change programs, leading strategic options analysis & proposing end-to-end solutions & highlighting trade-offs.
  9. Review ongoing designs of major programs to identify strategic opportunities and resolve design issues during delivery.
  10. Identify key technology enablers to optimize IT investment.
  11. Develop highly complex solutions that exemplifies quality optimization regarding reliability, availability, scalability, manageability, flexibility, usability/ reusability, and high performance.
  12. Deliver Architecture solutions in a Banking environment at the highest-level technical expertise.
  13. Lead other IT Architects to provide effective consulting on complex projects including RFP technical evaluations for various business domain.
  14. Lead multifunctional teams in successful application of methodologies and architecture modelling tools.
  15. As an architect the person would be responsible for suggestion and implementation of new technologies.
  16. Collaborate with key stakeholders in IT infra domain, IT-vendors, and other architects to achieve enterprise business goals.
  17. Keep up with the latest technologies and best practices in the field.
  18. Develop technical strategies, designs, and architectures for IT systems.
  19. Ensure that implemented systems align with the designed architecture.
  20. Lead IT teams to ensure technology developed is aligned with the functional and non-functional requirements of the business.


Educational Qualification


BE/ BTech in (Computer Science/ Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology/ Software Engineering/ Electronics & Communications Engineering or equivalent degree in relevant discipline) or MCA or MTech/ MSc in (Computer Science/ Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology/ Electronic & Communications Engineering) from recognized University/ Institute.

Desirable:

MBA as an additional qualification is preferred
