We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead – Transmission Line Engineering to lead the design, engineering, and execution of overhead transmission line projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in EHV/UHV transmission systems, tower and foundation design, engineering standards, and project delivery while leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring high-quality engineering outputs.
Key Responsibilities
Transmission Line Engineering
- Lead end-to-end transmission line engineering activities.
- Develop and review transmission line design basis, engineering calculations, and design philosophies.
- Review route alignment, survey data, ROW constraints, and profile drawings.
- Perform conductor, OPGW, insulation, and tower configuration selection.
- Carry out sag-tension analysis and optimize transmission line layouts.
Structural & Foundation Design
- Lead tower spotting using PLS-CADD.
- Review structural analysis using PLS-Tower/PLS-Pole.
- Coordinate foundation design based on geotechnical investigations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering codes and standards.
Project Execution
- Review engineering deliverables before issue.
- Resolve technical issues during project execution.
- Participate in design reviews and technical meetings.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, EPC contractors, and internal teams.
Technical Leadership
- Mentor engineering teams.
- Drive engineering quality and standardization.
- Support bid engineering and technical proposals.
- Identify technical risks and implement mitigation plans.
