Job Title: Area Manager

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Area Manager to oversee the performance, operations, and growth of multiple branches within the assigned zone. The candidate will be responsible for driving sales, improving collections, ensuring operational excellence, managing branch teams, and delivering superior customer service across branches.
This is a field-intensive leadership role requiring frequent branch visits, strong people management skills, and the ability to drive business performance through effective execution and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities :
Branch Operations
- Manage and oversee day-to-day operations across assigned branches.
- Ensure smooth branch functioning, process adherence, and SOP implementation.
- Conduct regular branch visits to monitor operational efficiency and service quality.
- Support branch expansion, setup, staffing, and operational readiness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, audit standards, and regulatory requirements.
Sales Management
- Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets for the assigned zone.
- Monitor sales performance, conversions, productivity, and business growth.
- Work closely with Branch Managers to improve branch performance and profitability.
- Identify gaps and implement corrective action plans for underperforming branches.
- Ensure achievement of revenue and business KPIs.
Collections & Receivables
- Monitor collections performance and overdue accounts across branches.
- Coordinate with collections teams to improve recovery efficiency.
- Review aging reports and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding payments.
- Handle escalated or critical collection cases when required.
Team Management & Recruitment
- Support hiring of Branch Managers, Assistant Branch Managers, and branch staff.
- Coordinate with HR for manpower planning and staffing requirements.
- Train, mentor, and coach teams on sales processes, customer handling, compliance, and operational standards.
- Build a high-performance and customer-centric work culture.
- Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.
Customer Service
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction across branches.
- Monitor customer complaints, feedback, and service quality metrics.
- Resolve escalated customer issues within defined timelines.
- Drive customer retention and loyalty initiatives.
Reporting & Governance
- Prepare and share regular MIS reports on sales, collections, branch operations, staffing, and customer service KPIs.
- Track branch performance metrics and action plans.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Commerce, or related field.
- MBA / PGDM in Sales & Marketing preferred.
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in Sales, Operations, Branch Management, or Business Development.
- Must have Prior experience in Chit Funds with Digital Transactions.
- Candidates from the insurance industry will also be considered.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience managing multiple branches or area-level operations.
- Experience in collections and receivables management will be an added advantage.
