Location: Hyderabad

About the Company

A fast-growing EV technology startup has built India's most advanced platform for converting existing petrol two-wheelers (2Ws) into smart electric vehicles in under 4 hours using certified, RTO-approved, plug-and-play retrofit kits. With over 200 million two-wheelers on Indian roads, retrofitting offers a scalable and cost-effective solution to accelerate EV adoption.

The company aims to electrify 10 lakh petrol two-wheelers over the next five years by providing consumers and fleet operators with a smarter, more economical alternative to purchasing brand-new EVs. Backed by elite engineering, patented technology (25 patents filed, 20 granted), and strong product validation, the company is now focused on scaling its commercial operations and market presence across India.

The Role

This is not a conventional leadership hire—it's a Co-Founder & Chief Business Officer (CBO) opportunity.

You will own the entire commercial function, including Go-to-Market (GTM), revenue, partnerships, channel expansion, financing models, and business growth across B2B, B2C, and B2B2C segments. Working closely with the founding team, you will build scalable commercial systems, teams, and market categories from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the company's commercial strategy and execution across GTM, revenue generation, partnerships, and channel development.
  2. Build and scale strategic partnerships with leading platform companies, gig-economy businesses, and enterprise customers.
  3. Drive revenue growth across B2B, B2C, and B2B2C channels with complete P&L ownership.
  4. Develop and expand nationwide dealer, distributor, and authorized service center networks.
  5. Secure large enterprise and fleet partnerships with logistics, mobility, rental, and e-commerce organizations.
  6. Design financing solutions such as EMI, lease-to-own, and subscription models in partnership with banks, NBFCs, and fintech companies.
  7. Lead branding, marketing, lead generation, and government relations to support business expansion.
  8. Build, mentor, and scale high-performing Sales, Business Development, and Key Account Management teams.
  9. Develop scalable commercial systems and operating processes to support rapid nationwide growth.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. 6+ years of leadership experience in revenue growth, business development, partnerships, or commercial operations within EV, automotive, mobility, or platform businesses.
  2. Proven success in building dealer networks, enterprise partnerships, channel ecosystems, and nationwide commercial operations.
  3. Strong understanding of P&L management, pricing strategy, forecasting, unit economics, CRM, and financing-led business models.
  4. Deep knowledge of India's EV ecosystem, automotive aftermarket, mobility landscape, and relevant regulatory frameworks (CMVR, AIS-156, RTO regulations).
  5. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build businesses from scratch, operate in fast-paced environments, and drive execution with ownership.
  6. Bachelor's degree required; Tier-1 MBA preferred.
  7. Fluent in English and Hindi; Telugu is an added advantage.
  8. Willingness to travel extensively across India.

Why Join?

  1. Opportunity to build and lead a high-growth business in one of India's fastest-growing EV segments.
  2. Significant ESOPs/equity, executive-level compensation, and performance-based incentives.
  3. Work alongside an experienced founding team with strong engineering and automotive expertise.
  4. Join a company with patented technology, proven product validation, regulatory approvals, and strong early market traction.
