JOB DESCRIPTION QUALITY ASSURANCE DEPARTMENET

Position: Engineer Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA).

Location: Peenya

Job Description:

  1. Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA
  2. Hands on experience on evaluation, quality & approve new suppliers
  3. Conduct supplier quality audits (process, system, and product audits).
  4. Monitor supplier quality metrics such as PPM, defect rates, on-time corrective actions, and delivery performance.
  5. Inspect and ensure incoming material are meeting the design requirements.
  6. Review and approve supplier corrective action reports (SCARs/CARs).
  7. Ensure suppliers comply with customer, regulatory, and industry quality standards.
  8. Perform New product development (NPD), PPAP reviews (where applicable), and process validations.
  9. Work closely with purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and logistics teams to resolve supplier quality issues.
  10. Analyze incoming inspection data and identify trends.
  11. Drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  12. Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by ensuring supplier readiness.
  13. Manage non-conforming materials and coordinate containment actions.
  14. Maintain supplier quality documentation and records.
  15. Participate in risk assessments and supplier performance reviews.
  16. Knowledge on Quality Management Systems in IATF 16949:2016, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018
  17. Knowledge in interpretation of Engineering drawings, Customer specific requirements.
  18. Strong inspection knowledge and handling of instruments such as CMM, 2D height gauge, Roundness tester, Surface Tester, Profile Projector and all basic instruments
  19. Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards.
  20. Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements.
  21. Knowledge in internal audits, process and product audits, Certification audits.

Qualification and other requirements:

BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5-6 years’ experience in Automotive and any Engineering Industries.

TS 16949 or ISO 9001:2015 Internal Audit Certificate will be added values.
