JOB DESCRIPTION QUALITY ASSURANCE DEPARTMENET
Position: Engineer Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA).
Location: Peenya
Job Description:
- Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA
- Hands on experience on evaluation, quality & approve new suppliers
- Conduct supplier quality audits (process, system, and product audits).
- Monitor supplier quality metrics such as PPM, defect rates, on-time corrective actions, and delivery performance.
- Inspect and ensure incoming material are meeting the design requirements.
- Review and approve supplier corrective action reports (SCARs/CARs).
- Ensure suppliers comply with customer, regulatory, and industry quality standards.
- Perform New product development (NPD), PPAP reviews (where applicable), and process validations.
- Work closely with purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and logistics teams to resolve supplier quality issues.
- Analyze incoming inspection data and identify trends.
- Drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by ensuring supplier readiness.
- Manage non-conforming materials and coordinate containment actions.
- Maintain supplier quality documentation and records.
- Participate in risk assessments and supplier performance reviews.
- Knowledge on Quality Management Systems in IATF 16949:2016, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018
- Knowledge in interpretation of Engineering drawings, Customer specific requirements.
- Strong inspection knowledge and handling of instruments such as CMM, 2D height gauge, Roundness tester, Surface Tester, Profile Projector and all basic instruments
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards.
- Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements.
- Knowledge in internal audits, process and product audits, Certification audits.
Qualification and other requirements:
BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5-6 years’ experience in Automotive and any Engineering Industries.
TS 16949 or ISO 9001:2015 Internal Audit Certificate will be added values.
