Strategy Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Strategy Consultant with a strong background in the FinTech sector to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience in consulting, strategy development, and execution within the FinTech space. You will work closely with senior leadership, advising on business growth strategies, market expansion, digital transformation, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Advisory

1. Lead the development of strategic plans, including identifying growth opportunities, market entry strategies, and long-term business objectives in the FinTech domain.

Market Research & Analysis

1. Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitors, customer behavior, and regulatory changes within the FinTech industry to provide actionable insights.

Digital Transformation Initiatives

1. Advise on and support digital transformation projects, including the adoption of emerging technologies like blockchain, AI, and open banking frameworks.

Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement

1. Identify areas for operational improvement, optimize processes, and recommend strategies for cost reduction, risk management, and scalability.

Business Model Innovation

1. Work with cross-functional teams to design innovative financial products and services, ensuring alignment with market needs and regulatory standards.

Stakeholder Engagement

1. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including C-suite executives, partners, and clients, to ensure alignment on strategic initiatives.

Financial Forecasting & Budgeting

1. Support financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting processes to ensure sound decision-making and investment strategies.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

1. Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure that strategies align with compliance requirements. Advise on risk management frameworks.

Key Qualifications

Education

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
2. An MBA or equivalent qualification from a top-tier institution is preferred.

Experience

1. Must have 2-5 years of consulting experience in the FinTech or financial services industry.
2. Candidate must have experience working with one of the following consulting firms: BCG (Boston Consulting Group), Bain & Company, or McKinsey & Company
3. Proven track record of working on strategic projects in FinTech, banking, or technology-driven financial services.

Skills

1. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and business data.
2. Expertise in market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights within FinTech.
3. Experience with digital technologies and innovations in financial services (e.g., AI, blockchain, digital payments).
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with senior stakeholders.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.

Tools & Technologies

1. Familiarity with financial modeling tools and business analytics software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
2. Knowledge of FinTech platforms, digital wallets, payment gateways, and blockchain systems.
