JOB DESCRIPTION – QUALITY ASSURANCE DEPARTMENT

Position: Engineer-Quality Assurance

Location: Peenya

Job Description:

1. Manage all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team (e.g. internal, supplier, customer and customer warranty)
2. Working knowledge on Quality Management Systems in IATF 16949:2016, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018
3. Knowledge in interpretation of Engineering drawings, Customer specific requirements.
4. Strong inspection knowledge and handling of instruments such as CMM, 2D height gauge, Roundness tester, Surface Tester, Profile Projector and all basic instruments
5. Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards.
6. Monitoring and report on quality-related key performance indicators including scrap monitoring, rework levels, parts per million (PPM) figures.
7. Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements.
8. Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) & Production part approval process (PPAP).
9. Initiate for continuous improvement activities such as Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis(MSA), SPC and other improvement tools.
10. Knowledge in CAPA, 8D reports and other corrective action methodologies.
11. Handling of customer complaints and interacting with customer and internal team members
12. Support regular inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to establish an action plan for improving build quality
13. Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers.
14. Knowledge in internal audits, process and product audits, Certification audits.
15. Hands on experience in in-process inspection, final inspection and documentation.
16. Prepare in-process & final inspection reports.

Qualification and other requirements:

BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 4-5 years experience in Automotive and any Engineering Industries.

TS 16949 or ISO 9001:2015 Internal Audit Certificate will be added values.
