Key Responsibilities:

Circuit Design & Analysis: Design and develop analog, digital, and power electronics circuits. Perform worst-case analysis, thermal simulations, and power budgeting.

Schematic & PCB Design: Lead schematic capture and provide detailed guidelines for multi-layer PCB layouts (High-speed signals, EMI/EMC considerations, and signal integrity).

Component Selection: Identify and qualify electronic components, considering cost, lifecycle (obsolescence management), and technical specs.

Testing & Debugging: Hands-on board bring-up, hardware debugging, and functional testing using DSO, Spectrum Analyzers, and Logic Analyzers.

Compliance: Ensure designs meet industry standards for EMI/EMC and environmental safety (e.g., CE, FCC, or MIL-STD if applicable).

Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams to ensure seamless system integration.

Technical Skills Required:

Tools: Proficiency in Altium Designer, OrCAD, or Mentor Graphics.

Simulations: Experience with LTSpice, PSpice, or TINA-TI.

Architectures: Strong knowledge of 16/32-bit Microcontrollers (STM32, NXP, TI) and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet).

Power Electronics: Design of DC-DC converters, LDOs, and battery management systems (BMS) is a plus.

Manufacturing: Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Testing).

Qualifications:

Education: B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics & Communication (E&C) or Electrical Engineering.

Experience: 5+ years in core hardware R&D.

Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, excellent documentation habits (BOM, Design Documents), and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
