Key Responsibilities:


  1. Act as a Quality Architect across all React and Ruby on Rails projects, auditing codebases and enforcing engineering standards
  2. Lead by example through hands-on development using Ruby on Rails (latest version) and modern frontend practices
  3. Mentor and guide developers through code reviews, architecture discussions, and best-practice adoption
  4. Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications in a Dockerized environment
  5. Ensure high code quality through comprehensive test coverage using Capybara, Selenium, and Minitest
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a monthly sprint cadence, managed via Notion
  7. Oversee version control, branching strategies, and pull-request workflows on GitHub
  8. Contribute to system architecture, performance tuning, and security best practices
  9. Leverage cloud services such as AWS (S3, SQS, CloudWatch)
  10. Troubleshoot, debug, refactor, and modernize existing systems
  11. Support integrations with third-party services, including OpenAI where applicable

  1. Ruby on Rails (latest version) and React (Mandatory)
  2. PostgreSQL
  3. React, StimulusJS
  4. Docker (local and deployment workflows)
  5. Capybara, Selenium, Minitest
  6. AWS (S3, SQS, CloudWatch)
  7. GitHub


Requirements:


  1. 8+ years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development
  2. Proven experience in a senior or technical leadership role (Tech Lead, Architect, or equivalent)
  3. Strong understanding of web application architecture, scalability, and performance optimization
  4. Hands-on experience with React and modern frontend development
  5. Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL and backend system design
  6. Proficiency in Dockerized development environments
  7. Strong experience writing and maintaining automated test suites
  8. Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, StimulusJS, and ERB
  9. Experience working in Agile/remote teams, using tools such as Jira
  10. Exposure to cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
  11. Excellent communication, mentoring, and collaboration skills
